Strange to hear that.

My immediate family called me Frankie and Alice did when we were newly weds. That all ended on the day she called my office and asked for Frankie. The echo of "telephone Frrankeee" still echos in her ear. From that day she never called me Frankie again.

It didn't bother me at all but is bothered her a lot. My sister and a couple of cousins are all that remain of that familiar.
