Although this man is a professional captain and mariner and travels the world on the bridges on commercial ships, I'm not sure IF he ever got his ferry boat up and running or if it was just a dream of his he told me about many years ago. I know he's been busy raising his kids, and although we stay in touch, we just haven't had much time to carch up. I certainly will ask him these questions and see if I can get him to add his favorite spots to your list.
When the US gov't caught up with him in the 70's and threw him in the brigg; after he was imprisoned they put him on the bridge of a nuclear sub running up and down our east coast. He got paid very well, but was glad to get out of the military. I think both his daughters have dual citizenship while he only retains his Canadian and Irish. I'll have to ask him about it.
