Can you convince me that just writing off their soldiers, or buying them back in a trade with hundreds of enemies traded for each Israeli, would have brought peace? They have done such trades. What did it get them?

How many Israeli soldiers were invading Lebanon when Hezbollah, a known terror organization, was spending years fortifying southern Lebanon and filling it with offensive missiles?

Were you aware of the nature of those missiles? The fragmentation warheads specifically designed as anti-personnel weapons?

Is peace simply defined by liberals as the absence of combat now?
