Spirituality is an interesting concept but it definately ties with how ONE belives the existance of EVERYTHING came together.
Science, to some extremes - and don't quote me (lol), is a sort of spirituality.
My spirituality is something similar to REBs
A couple of facts of my life and events need to be in place:
My father wanted to become a priest for the catholic church. That obviously didn't work out as well, but it gave him (after a degree in philosophy) a wealth of knowledge regarding that christian religion.
Because of what he represented to me, it was ahrd for me as a teenager to confront him about spirituality. He never forced me to go to church, but yet I went for my own curiosity.
One day, bodly faced, I told my dad I didn't believe in religions.
He was ok with it, and that's where it all started.
When someone asks me about my spiritual beliefs, I usually spit this out:
"I don't know what it means to be God or what God is, but if I have to assume that We where his creature, then God must have been in part Human.
I know what it means to be Human and the complexity of it. I knwo that If I was the only Human in the.. well... "EVERYTHING that was Nothing" then I'de be bored at first... most likely I would get lonely soon after and at the end I think that lonelyness would ultimately drive me nuts.. Would I consider suicide? I am not going to exlude that possibility. But this is where I for sure wouldn't wish anyone to be as lonely as I was at that very moment. The different between me and God is that I, in a similar situation could not do anything about it (besides immaginary friends ;) ). On the other side I realize that theoretically GOD had all the powers... I think that if that would have been the case, our good Old Creator would have one final plan: "Make sure NOBODY ever feels lonely as I am right now". Possible result of his action could easily be what we call the Big Bang.
Are we God? We are parts of him. He lives in us as we live because of God. God created evertyhing and everything is What God is.
God succeded. Even on a desert Island, you will never be as lonely as God was.
All the rest, it's just manifestations of our own beliefs through the culture of time.
Believe or not belive, is fine... just BE. So now I'll stop babbling and I will let you be
