DNA and the fertilized egg.

When an egg is fertilized, DNA is created for a unique individual. This DNA is the blueprint for that unique individual. This is what makes a fertilized egg different from a unfertilized egg, or sperm. Both of those contain DNA fragments of the body that made them and are incomplete blueprints. They can not build anything.

The fertilized egg takes these blueprints for this unique individual and begins to build this person. It is not only the blueprints, but the building crew as well. The mother provides the building material. Once outside of the womb, the mother (and father) continue to provide building material. How many two year olds can provide for themselves?

This building process starts on the day of fertilization and goes on until the individual gets out of puberty.
