Agreed

But in todays climate, stay at home fathers are ridiculed- I wont weigh in on what is easier, I will say that men working with a child have one hell of a lot of responsibility, and may take on jobs they hate just to meet that responsibility- some men would rather be with their kids, but really cant.

I certainly Do not like the nanny solution- and I do not assume women are the ones that should quit their jobs, but a man that quits is ridiculed and considered less than a man- It is not fair, but it is the way our society operates- personally, I think a kid should have a parent as the primary caregiver, but the fact is our current economics prevent that far too often.

In my opinion if you are a married couple, with both devoted to their carreers- well that is great, just dont have kids- wait until one of you is willing to give it all up to raise the child- either father or mother...
The idea that fathers alone cannot be great parents is quite sexist, yet it is assumed all the time...
