Absolutely....

R.L. — 8/10/2007 11:12:26 PM (archived)

I have a BELIEF that FTL travel is possible- my belief is nothing more than a religion, and I will be the first to point out the facts that contradict my belief... I guess I just dont assume my fantasies are real....

I have the belief that the universe has rules that make it possible for intelligence to explore it- it could be that the universe is a real son of a bitch and we are stuck here in our tiny solar system- I am certainly not going to argue about it.

There is nothing wrong with having a belief, its just a problem if you start taking that belief too seriously in contradiction to the facts - so far the facts say I am wrong-
