There was a movie, called 'The Grand Tour'
It starred Jeff Daniels, I think.... He is a widower with a daughter.... he runs a small bed and breakfast inn in new england- He suddenly gets a group of odd people that book his rooms- as the movie goes on he learns that they are time travellers from the future coming to his town to witness a horrible disaster- A meteor is going to hit and destroy the town- he has to try to save the people of the town, while the time travellers try to stop him from changing history and wiping out their timeline.... silly premise, but actually fairly well done.
