On the other hand, if you don't mind me cutting through the self-satisfied logorrheah, maybe I just wanted a simple answer to the question.

Obviously methodology wouldn't have come up in the first place if there hadn't been a question on the numbers, and many numbers were discussed.

Incidentally, AP's methodology blew goats (that's not as complex, academic, and nuanced a term as you'd probably like, but it serves) and nobody seems to care about that.
