I watched it...

CNBC is the "Liberal Media"?! - you do realize one of the panelists was Rick "Tea Party" Santelli...?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEZB4taSEoA

Now were the questions inane? YES! Were they shallow? YES! Were they intended to provoke ratings boosting conflict? Yes...

I would say that it highlights the problem with the media - period...

But despite all that, ONE candidate there stood out for me- ONE candidate said what needed to be said- one man, and only one man had the courage to say whats right and damn the consequences- of course I am talking about Gov. Huckabee...

HUCKABEE: We need to be focusing on what fixes this country. And I'll tell you one thing that we never talk about -- we haven't talked about it tonight.

Why aren't we talking about -- instead of cutting benefits for old people, cutting benefits for sick people -- why don't we say, "let's cure the four big cost-driving diseases...

QUICK: Governor?

HUCKABEE: ..."diabetes, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer's?"

QUICK: Governor, I'm sorry...

HUCKABEE: If you do that, you don't just change the economy, you transform the lives of millions of hurting Americans.

QUICK: Governor, thank you.

HUCKABEE: Gosh, I'd love for us to talk about something like that. Thank you.

Huckabee was the ONLY one up there with the Balls to come out firmly against terrible diseases- Despite all the donations he stands to lose from the Fatal Virus Lobby, and from PACs like Citizens For A More Cancerous America, and Tumors for Tomorrow.

While all the others up there were obviously in the pocket of 'Big Sick' he had the courage to say what needed to be said.

And you know what? He is RIGHT! Horrible debilitating life altering diseases ARE bad- yes, you heard me right- go ahead and flame away, but I stand by it... Furthermore, I will go even further and flatly state that I honestly feel that we would be better off if we were to cure these horrible diseases- WHY aren't we doing THAT?!

We really should have some people working on it!

sigh....
