What I owed and got after my hospitalization
Just checked it:
The Health Insurance Fund to which I'm affiliated to, paid my 22 days hospitalization 3,010 EUR; The bill I got was 1,488 EUR, which I paid.
And then I sent the bill to the health care department of my company (I have a group's hospitalization insurance) and was reimbursed 1,477 EUR.
I know of 2 american widows who had been married to wealthy dutch businessmen and who came back here when they got ill (one broke a bone). Those are the ones who know best the differences.
