I was usually a good kid. I actually tried to stay out of trouble. My problem was not listening because I was always in my own little world. Having two brothers didn’t help. More times than not my parents couldn’t tell who did the bad deed so they spanked all three of us.
I don’t like spanking, and my wife and I have tried to avoid it. But my son and daughter were both becoming disrespectful. I will not have them talking back. Nothing was working or getting their attention.
I took my son and told him I was going to start spanking him. All it took was one time with one pop and he has been behaving since. (And I did not even pop him hard) My daughter, after seeing that, has also shaped up. Just the threat of getting a spanking now gets their attention.
