I would settle for one in which we could have a constructive, civil conversation. It would be great if those with disagreements could negotiate to something approximating equal satisfaction, or equal dissatisfaction. Rather than the "surrender or die" approach we have now.

Surrender or die is a dandy way to wage war. It's no way to run a democracy.
