Not much to add but some vaguely related observations:
--I've noticed that business political contributions are switching to the Democratic side. As always, whoever's making the rules, gets the gold.
--It should be remembered that efficiency is not necessarily a good thing if isolated from other factors.
Lord knows a free market isn't as "efficient" in the use of resources, time and money as a heavily-controlled market could be (imagine how much we could save in resources and effort if there were only one brand of everything in the stores).
But it's a lot more resilient, and respondent to outside change. Think natural forests vs. cornfields.
And frankly, "efficiency" in government can be kind of scary.
Flame » in reply to Unlimited dysfunction?
That was pretty good.
