Some words that always jumped out at me

In Revelations, it talks about the destruction of the True Church and it rising again. Although I became a Catholic several years ago (I was led to do so), I have basically left the Church because of various things including the Church shuffling child abusers around and the money that I and others gave being used for defending the indefensible and paying out settlements to the abused. I also differ with the Church in a lot of areas including basic tenets.

Many years back I had an experience that has shaped a lot of my beliefs and actions. I was sitting in a Catholic Church chapel in Eureka Springs, AK. No one else was in the chapel. I heard a voice say to me, "You will build a new church upon the old." I've been working on that one ever since. The interpretation could be many things. (One of which is not that I am psychotic with any of the various "I hear voices" illnesses.) I've heard that voice twice. The other was in a Catholic Church and it said, "I have shown you your path." I truly think I misinterpreted that because I promptly went through catechism and joined that Church.

So I'm back putting pieces together. What you have just told me about Mormonisn is another piece of the puzzle.

I find it interesting that the two times I heard that voice were both in Catholic Churches. Or maybe not strange since one thing that Catholics do, is they are QUIET when they go to Church. It is NOT social time. Most Protestant Churches drive me batty because you walk into the weekly social, catching up on what Janie and Jeff are doing and the kids, etc. It's disgusting to me because Church is not a social time; it is where you go to be with the Creator, to listen to God and to talk to God.
