I can't agree with what you wrote.
He claimed to be the Son of God, which encompasses more than Judaism. It also carried the penalty of death for blasphemy.
The hot water wasn't due to the fact that he broke the sabbath, that was just the scapegoat. He was in trouble because he was teaching that he was the Messiah the Isrealites were waiting for. The Sanhedrin, already under the Roman thumb, didn't want that kind of aggravation and acted to get rid of him.
As far as the gospel being taught, you are correct that it was initially only for the jews, and later branched out to include Gentiles after Paul who was the head of the early church received a vision to eat the unclean animals. It wasn't accepted easily by the jewish members of the church who tried to force circumcision on the converted gentiles. Eventually the Apostles got together, argued about it some, than Peter came out with a statement that Gentile members were not obligated to keep the Law of Moses and basically that Christianity could meld with customs of any land in which it goes.
I don't believe that Christ ever intended to limit the gospel to the Jews, but charged the Apostles with the task of carrying the gospel to the Gentiles.
