It fits their politics and it is gold for their constituency.
Even our penultimate terror incident, John Dear's Planned Parenthood shoot-em-up, was more Conservative Christian than anything else. But the Right would rather say "After 9/11, George Bush protected us from the A-rabs. Now Obummer has failed us by refusing to even admit there is any such thing as Islamic Terrorism." Trump, Cruz and Christy have already said as much. Robert predicted this, see his post "Not sure what you mean", below. Its Thursday, wingnut craniums are indeed exploding, and it certainly is interesting. Believe me, Liberal craniums are scrambling too, nit-picking and spinning.
Actually, I'm perfectly ready to concede this latest attack was Muslin Terrorism. But it wasn't the first, the Boston Marathon attack was probably the first. They were carried out by Muslims who obviously prepared for it. Even if it wasn't planned and directed from abroad, this was carried out by an American born Muslim, it probably qualifies. But I don't think Obama, or George Bush can be blamed for it. Its been 14 years since 9/11, seven years of GWB and seven of BHO. We knew it was coming, sooner or later. We just finally ran out of luck.

- Why choose between "gun violence" and "Islamic terrorism"?
- Yemen has less than half the rate of gun violence as does the US. There has to be a way to work together to lessen it.
- It was radical fucking Islamic terrorism. I so "wanted to see that". You ass...I
