I expected to see a preemptive strike by the NRA and their gaggle of Republican mouthpieces, but no sign so far. I wonder if Wayne LaPierre is out sick? Even Trump only took a proforma shot at blaming Obama earlier this evening. Obama commented, and the opinion of the right notwithstanding, the President does have the duty to say something about any horrific tragedy that strikes America. Even if he isn't really "one of us".

I don't see many wagons, and they're definitely not in a circle.

It's 10:30, and there is one bit of news from the last hour to add: One dead shooter's name is Seyid Farouk. The FBI was careful to say he's an American, but you and I both know that won't stop mass explosions of rightwing craniums tomorrow like something out of the remake of Mars Attacks. Thursday will be "interesting".
