No Tom, you are refusing to give an inch, not only will you not accept any deviation from your position as even remotely plausible, you are attacking everyone who says anything you don't like as a leftist or Marxist. In other words, you can't possibly be wrong because all your critics no matter how gentle or on what topic, are evil, or idiots. How bloody convenient, you must be right because your opponents are either stupid or villains. Gee, I guess if I had that advantage I'd be convinced of my infallibility too.
For you, the world is made up of Marxists, collectivists, people who want to steal your money, unpatriotic criminals and effete and treacherous scoundrels and sinister elites. Intellectuals, performers, educators, artists, journalists, politicians and even cimatologists are all in some vast conspiracy to raise your taxes and take away your freedoms. Tell me, is there anyone but entrepreneurs that you really like? Is there anyone you trust that isn't a businessman?
Do you really think this board is full of Marxists, dupe or card-carrying? You think I'm a leftist! Man, if you can't meet my politics even halfway on anything then you are by definition way too far to starboard for my tastes, because my politics are nowhere near as far left as you are right. And you have the audacity to complain that people don't accept your positions no matter how many times you explain them? Did it ever occur to you that maybe
most normal average people simply don't believe you? Just because you believe it don't make it so.
I'm sorry, Tom. I cannot reason with anyone who can't possibly be wrong about anything. And I find it difficult to talk to you about anything else, anything politically neutral, because to you nothing is politically neutral. Everything is yet another hidden proof of the perfidy of the left, and you can't wait to bring up it with your usual AHA! flourish.
In any community like this, there will always be a broad spectrum, a normal distribution of political positions. Doesn't the fact that almost everyone here disagrees with you on everything tell you something? If that doesn't clue you in, check out those who you can count on to back you up every time.
