I have.

We owe the tycoons and magnates a debt of gratitude. Their greed helped to bring about industrialization and their greed also helped spread industrialization across every industry.

They created jobs where there were none. They employed millions who otherwise would have had to till the soil for survival.

Skilled workers are the result of greed. The greed of the farmer who realizes life is easier off the field.

Denying and denigrating greed is counterproductive. The Marxists were the comfy byproduct of industrialization which allowed them to get the very education which led to their anti-industrial views. The Marxists are walking anachronisms, oxymorons come to life. If they had their way, they couldn't have existed in the first place.

Instead of complaining about corrupt industries, the wise man merely COMPETES with them. If he has the brainpower to come up with a better mousetrap, a better wealth generator to employ millions and doesn't need to use some men with guns to loot others - he is fulfilling the greatest goals and loftiest notions of a utopian society.

We all need AMD to compete with Intel. Yahoo with Google. We'd be better off if MORE competition appeared on the scene.

Who teaches competition these days? Who promotes the ideas of excellence and being the best you can be these days?

How many kids say I'm going to read the encyclopedia set cover to cover, the five foot shelf of books, the great books and then I'm going to find what suits me best continue with a lifelong educationg, generate enough wealth to sustain me and many others and improve the world all the while?

How many parents encourage their kids to think this way? How many teachers promote capitalism and competition as the means to a better world?

No, it's always the handout, compassion, freebies and charity.

It's always stupidity dressed up as social conscience.

No one ever bothers to remember that only the RICH can be generous and help the many. And how did they get rich...they competed and were greedy. The US has the largest foreign aid program in the world and has had such for over a century. It can afford to because it is the most capitalistic nation on Earth. It is the greediest nation on Earth.

The man with a bowl of rice can starve and give half of his rice to his child. But does that save the world? Heck no. It's the man who looks at his bowl of rice with disgust and says I am going to plant more crops, provide more than enough rice to live on and sell the rest. With the profits I will buy some chickens and my son will have eggs, chicken and rice to eat.

Ten years later he may be the village tycoon with more cows, chickens and land than anyone else and he may be hated by other poor men who have half a bowl of rice to share. Yet he now employs thirty fellow villagers and supports their families - all because of his greed.

The greedy man with a work ethic and who employs others is worth a million and one Marxist whiners who think they are compassionate because they "care" about others and want to loot the rich.
