...destroys Los Angeles, New York and Paris - I'll be a happy filmgoer.
Sure the employers and capitalists hire the illegals and outsource their work. Why?
Because of the minimum wage. If by the very definition, the capitalist is COMPETING and his competition hires illegals or outsources to churn out a cheaper widget....the rest of the capitalists, whether they want to or not, will follow to stay in business.
ER...do you really think I want to see people suffer? Do you think I enjoy poverty's deathgrip around the world? Do you think I am so filled with hate of other peoples and races that I enjoy seeing them spin wheels as the rest of the west moves forward?
My dream is that capitalism takes root everywhere. I can't blame the Indians or the Chinese for their industries. I support their effort! They want to better their 3rd world conditions and by embracing the west they begin to do so. A lot of nations could look at their efforts and do them one better.
In the long haul the whole world must become capitalists and darn good ones. Industry must keep advancing and education alongside it. It's wholly unacceptable that an average education from 1940 was twice as good as an education from 1980 and thrice as good as the one delivered to the folks in 2008. Today's education should be three times better! The encroachment of entertainment has robbed youth of their studying time and the teachers expect less and less with each year.
If resources are to provide for everyone and if everyone is to have a home and a car (or whatever means of mass transportation best serves them) then more WEALTH needs to be generated. More industries, more products, more machines of all kinds need to be added to the already formidable list of man's accomplishments.
That is my wish.
Whenever I see folks with misplaced charity denigrate industry or capitalism I see how poverty and darkness will snare the world yet again, including the west. If humanity is given one great chance to lift itself up - this is it. When the masses reach critical consumption without generation the whole world will be like Africa where constant suffering and an early death is each newborns birthright.
I know you want the best for the world too. We just see things differently.
