Before I know it...TB will already have done the Fisking. Why have two people do twice the work when one will suffice?
Besides - their site was not navigation friendly for digging and their charts were also less than the epitome of clarity.
I remember when everyone was going to have DSL or better in the US. The dot.com revolution was going to rewire the world with fiber optics. Some of us got lucky if we lived in an area where a major telecom was based, but the rest still make do with cable and dial-up.
Look at those charts again, accurate or not, and you will see that those sophisticated socialist nations don't possess nearly the population penetration of online usage as the US.
It's not that those socialist nations have raced out and completely rewired their nations already - hardly! It's that SO FEW people are online in those countries, and their costs are so high, that the one's that are online and pay the exorbitant fees, usually have high speed access.
If my experiences in Germany are any indicator, Europe is lagging at least 5 years behind the internet curve in access, marketing and participation. Believe it or not, much of Europe is impressed with old US television shows they missed the first time around twenty years ago. To get high speed in Europe you usually have to go to an internet cafe and pay for access. If you like the smell of various intermingling smokes with your online experience, those places are the A ticket.
