There you go again.
No one said anything about hauling 4 people around in a 2 person car. The point, fairly simple, is that an investment as large as a SUV which operates at 14% of capacity most of the time is largely a waste of money. To pay those costs all the time in order to have it available for the rare (see survey) occasions when it is at capacity really is foolish.
Especially when there are many 5 and 6 passenger vehicles around with lots of storage.
But it is insulting to imply someone besides yourself suggested 4 people in a two person car. And, by the way, intellectually dishonest, but we know that.
