Conveniently they don't break it down into personal income. GDP is hardly the fair measure of how internet hooked up the poor masses are.
In the polarized US, the fact that sixty six million have broadband online access is pretty impressive stuff. After all the "rich" as you have been telling us for years is just a tiny fraction of the US population. Do we have 66 million "rich" folks? How many non-broadband users are there?
Let's take a look at another site:
Online Statistics
What's that...
151,000,000 Online users!
Oh yeah...that's about 50 percent of the US population. How many are online in Japan?
48,000,000
But Japan's population is 125,000,000 so let's see...that's under 40 percent.
How can that be! Japan is SO wired! Robert and the OECD said they were!
And what about socialized, hight tech Germany?
38,000,000 online! And Germany's population? Wait...oh yeah...82,000,000.
Oh my goodness! Only slightly under 50 percent! Those socialist fiber optic routers must not be as fast as you think!
And what's more...these countries are SOOO small there is so much less wire to run! What's the deal here???!!!!!
How can the non-socialist US put more people online than the rich socialist utopias of the world?
Hmmm?
Oh don't worry I'll wait.
PS.
TB didn't totally Fisk it just to spite me.
