but it feels to me like the same thing I hear from the people that claim the Palestinians are solely to blame for the mess.
The woman's article makes it sound as if this whole mess came completely from the Israelis and I think it's pretty much common knowledge around the world that there are very bad and violent people within Hamas that have destructive intent.
Just as I come down hard on people like Tom when they post some link with a one-sided viewpoint and no accompanying text that says something like "Here's one person's take on the issue. Obviously there are competing viewpoints.....", I'm going to apply the same standards to anyone else.
Nobody holds the moral high ground in this conflict Raoul. There are always bad people on either side when things turn violent. A similar percentage of them exist in all cultures, religions, and communities. Warfare is never moral in the classic definition. It's one of those things that's simply a human response to stress. Yes, there are moral choices going on within the battles but, to try to apply those individual parts to the whole is an effort in futility.
I'd suggest anytime one wants to bring up the Arab/Israeli issue they begin it in Flame because it's going to get divisive immediately.
