Buck, when I read ER's post it struck me as not taking sides, of trying to show that there are villains and good guys on all sides, and that no matter how black and white a situation appears on the surface, there are countless layers that allowed it to develop.
Of course we should be outraged over Islamic extremism but if that's all you focus on, you are guilty of the same form of thinking that allowed the extremism to develop.
You've read enough of ER's posts by now to know that he's a compassionate and kind man that has no tolerance for cruelty and lies and yet your response gives the impression that when the issue turns to something you have such a strong investment in, all that knowledge of who he is goes out the window.
Look, I get it. I know how emotions take over when a subject becomes something that burns in you but I have to tell you that the credibility and fairness you establish on all other subjects here is threatened when you draw the line on this issue as you do.
Just my opinion.
