This is not Partisan - This is Reality.

Truman made it happen. He did so almost single-handedly. We have been chained to Israel ever since.

The laughable assertion that this is an anti-Democrat smear is simply that - laughable. Most conservatives have been trained to be completely pro-Israel and few mention the problems Israel has created for the US in the Middle East and particularly how our economy and industrial society has been influenced by the Arab oil embargos, the formation of OPEC and the huge amount of foreign aid we yearly deliver, trying to protect a sand castle from the tide.

The Jewish vote is not a huge bloc, but it is a hugely influential bloc and so both parties have become beholden to preserving Israel. Sure, one can find lots of reasons Israel is good for the US, as a second tier democracy, as an ally, as an executor of US foreign policy, etc. But largely they have to be such, because we are the only nation that really wants them there.

Look at Europe. They illustrate their pro-Palestinian position constantly. Pro-Muslim, Anti-Jew is the order of the day. Their finances are tied to the Muslim 3rd world and being anti-Jew is good business. Get around Europe and you will find this attitude is almost universal. The holocaust and guilt for the treatment the Jews had received during the mid 20th century is wearing off. While it was PC to feel guilt towards Jews in the 1945-1990 period, the tide has turned systematically and now the Jews are the bad guys and the Palestinians and Muslims are the victims of western imperialism.

Yes, the creation of Israel by Truman and the west, is perceived now as western imperialism. Truman didn't consult, didn't soften the blows - he just announced recognition for Israel and knew the west would follow suit. Not all the blame falls on Truman, but he was the point man and he succumbed to pressure and after the holocaust felt the time was right to simply forge ahead.

The facts are simple. The same Muslims that have been defeated by Israel several times and whose sole existence is lived to fulfill Muslim tenets, will have an atomic bomb in the next 20 years. They will use it.

Very simple.

But Israel will not relent, the land is "holy" and their god tells them its theirs. The past 60 years was fine enough while it lasted - they have prevailed, with US help, against long odds - but now remaining becomes a suicide wish - a total 'faith' driven gesture that must be believed - that their god will protect them. Looking at the pogroms, the holocaust, the suicide bombings and the rest would make anyone sane realize their god clearly hates them and finds something else to do every time some one plans something evil towards them. With that track record, and the atomic secrets now floating freely throughouit the Middle East - Israels days are numbered.

I accept that. I have worked for US/Israeli interests - probably more than most. I realize that we can no longer protect them. Too many have atomic plans, too many reactors worldwide our producing weapons grade fissile material. If my past efforts for them are to mean anything - I have to advocate they start another exodus. Survival is more important than faith in my book. Unfortunately, for all to many Israelis - the reverse is true.

And it wont do them any good if I tell them, "Well we recognize the post-detonation signature of the material to this reactor - go get em!" because there will be no one to tell it to and the retaliation would fall on the US or a handful of Israeli subs that may have orders to knock out major Middle Eastern capitals if Israel is wiped from the map.

The "Israel is nuked" scenario has been a staple of war games, think-tank projects and policy planning for over 25 years now, but stepped up dramatically after Pakistan and India tested bombs right underneath our noses and North Korea became a rogue supplier of nuclear technology for the 3rd world.

The Soviets were quasi-sane. Their customers were not.

Everything I have mentioned is the truth. This is not a partisan political view - this is reality.
