"You did Jody a disservice."

"You did Jody a disservice."

Hardly.

The history of the middle east extends long before 1948, but Israel started May 1948. Truman was President and history is very complete and thorough here.

It's sad that you are so partisan inclined that you feel compelled to defend Truman and deny his role in this 61 year fiasco, which is now globally perceived as American Imperialism.

September,11 2001 has its roots in May, 1948.

Truth is not poison. The information I linked to was hardly partisan - it came from the Truman Library - a place dedicated to the most positive portrayal of Harry Truman.

If I was so inclined, for Jody's sake, I would dig into my massive archives and pull 'current' 1948 news articles offering global opinion on Harry Truman's actions in the matter.

You see me as a propagandist. I'm not. I've simply absorbed so much information that my views have strong roots. I'm not wishy-washy, because my history is solid. I've absorbed hundreds of years of history as it transpired. I've read countless 'firsthand' history sources - newspapers and magazines of the period - the same ones historians consult before they write their books. I could write a hundred books on a hundred different topics. I have the complete Time Archives, NYT, NatGeo and many obscure pieces like the Commentator, and my collections include the complete League of Nations transcripts, something hard to find outside a few archival sources.

I've read voraciously for several decades now and I've read well. My assessments are not superficial. My conclusions are based on sizable data input - probably more than most authors consult before they reinterpret history for the current generations.

"Poisoning the well" is an inaccurate assessment. I understand that when one differs in views one may like to believe that all those who hold different views are propagandists, but its just not true.

Take care Robert, try not to let partisan views poison your well.
