Start reading history. Try not to get Jewish versions or Moslem versions but history from professional historians. There are bound to be some good unbiased books out there. Read and make up your own mind.

My own reading began with a definitely biased novel by Leon Uris, Exodus (an excellent novel by a wonderful writer) but I branched from there and read what I could from a lot of sources. I admit to having a mindset against the Arabic culture because they are a people who do not hold the same values as most Americans. They live in a culture where baksheesh (the bad kind) is a way of life, treachery is 2nd nature and they can abuse their women and children and deny them basic human rights. I detest their culture. Do they have good points? Yes. But they do not outweigh the ones I mentioned above. OTOH I have an affinity for the Jews and for their culture and they deserved a home after Hitler tried to wipe them from the face of the Earth. The Jews made a garden out of desert after purchasing the land (which the Arabs thought worthless) from the Arabs. After they made it into something worthwhile, the Arab overlords wanted the land back. They were jealous of what the Jews had done with what they considered worthless. They wanted the results of Jewish sweat so they could sit back and overlords and let the Jews and the Arabic women do the work.

That is my opinion. Now, do your own research.
