If there's one thing that I find amusing, it's the sudden allergy to government subsidies that liberals develop when it comes to nuclear power.
Nobody seems to mind that solar and wind have been heavily subsidized from day one, are heavily subsidized now, and are not likely to become profitable without such subsidies for many years.
Has there ever been a completely privately-build hydroelectric facility? How about the vaunted upgrading of our transmission infrastructure?
If government is going to pay for something, why not something that works? For a change.
