Has it never bothered you that the motivations of you and your allies are perceived in exactly the same way by your opponents?
The problem of nuclear power in this country might be just a little more complex than millions of people suddenly deciding a policy contrary to their best interests should be followed. Especially if there is no conspiracy operating to guide and organize them.
MY own opinion, which I have presented before and you seem to have rejected, is that the nuclear power industry itself is to blame because it refused to accept the full financial responsibility to build the necessary supporting infrastructure. And because of its arrogance and strong-arm denialist tactics, it was not able to survive the public relations consequences of one non-fatal accident. And this happened with the backing of the government.
France got around the problem by simply implementing the program at public expense without first consulting the public. But we can't do that in the United States.
