This "lifeless rocks" attitude is one reason why NASA is in the trouble it is in now

The general public just does not get it as it is, and when I see this
attitude in this forum from people I assume have some knowledge and
interest in the subject, that is when I really worry.

I would like to think and hope that NASA might focus more on robotic
missions in the event the government doesn't let them send humans to
the Moon and Mars, but I can also see the whole institution being
drastically cut across the board.

Joe Sixpack still thinks that NASA gets too much money "that should be
better spent for all the problems on Earth" - GAG! So don't be surprised
if NASA loses its leadership role in space all around.

By the time the American public realized what it has lost, it will be far
too late and others will have taken our place in space. Hope they'll let
us hitch a ride now and then.
