What cockpit videos?

Do we have actual DOD reps authenticating them? Has the Pentagon had a news conference? Is there a real DOD website explaining just what they've got and how it was acquired?

How do we know these are real cockpit videos and not some CGI fraud? If we want to use this material as evidence, we need real people we know and trust, people with a real career and reputation to protect to come out and look at a camera and tell us they are legit. Fancy videos can be faked just like convincing still photos can be faked.

It always comes down to the previous public identity and reputation of the man showing the video and telling you "One of my pilots took this movie last year." Otherwise, it just Bigfoot or Loch Ness all over again. Photos mean nothing. They are just as easily faked as pencil sketches.

Until someone I know and recognize, like the Secretary of the Air Force or the Chief of Naval Operations, comes out and faces a press room in his dress blues and shows us the videos I'm not going to take them seriously. If this is the real thing, and a really big deal then they're going to bring out the heavy hitters to lay it on us. Sure, its possible they may want to cover it up, but if that is the case, honest "leaked" whistleblower evidence is going to be indistinguishable from a a deliberate fraud until it faces public scrutiny.
