If you find it implausible that it is a hoax because of the large conspiracy it would involve and doubt that everyone would keep quiet, then why go with the 'its classified tech' theory that requires a many orders of magnitude larger conspiracy, and perfect secrecy over a much longer period of time?
If one has only those two explanations to choose from, Occam's razor would tell you to go with the hoax theory...
We are faced with a few options here:
1) Its a hoax
2) Its some sort of repeated sensor error combined with pilots seeing things that correlate with the error.
3) It is classified human technology developed in secret, yet being flown where it will be seen and recorded.
4) some sort of 'natural phenomenon'?
5) it is real, there are objects flying around in our airspace that exhibit behavior completely outside what is even remotely possible with human technology.
Based on what we know of human nature , options 1 and 3 seem highly unlikely. Option 2 also seems highly unlikely... sensor glitches that all agree with each other and coincide with multiple pilots seeing things seems astronomically unlikely.
Option 4 would require new natural phenomenon wildly outside our previous experience and understanding of science.
Option 5 is fantastical, with earth shaking implications, there is no way to assign a likelihood to it.
Whatever it turns out to be, it is important to determine which of the above options is closest to the truth.
I would give anything to have all the data to look at...

- IMO they are most likely secret government projects...
- Assuming the behavior described is accurate, then no, they are unlikely the product of any government on Earth
- Its a misinformation campaign.
- I am referring to the cockpit videos that were taken and released to the public... not un-named sources
- What cockpit videos?
- Take a look:
- Sorry, RL
- ER, they were confirmed as legitimate by the pentagon...
