"Compromise"

I like the way "compromise" is used by the Democratic Party in the news. It's like a group of doctors who believe the best treatment for measles is potassium cyanide, and when an opposing group tries to get them to stop, they offer the "compromise" of only using the cyanide on redheaded kids.

Under the current economic and employment conditions, allowing taxes to go back up for the people who actually create the jobs and new wealth in this country is mind-bogglingly stupid. There's no fresh new direction that you can look at that proposal and have it be anything other than mind-bogglingly stupid.

Europe is reeling under leftist economic ideology, and those nations that have embraced it even more consistently have crashed and burned already.

As for you Eri, please examine your own premises: The idea of "benefits the rich" seems to annoy you. Why? We NEED a government and culture where it is comfortable and acceptable to grow rich and stay that way. What happened to the America where success was admired, and not something that put a goddam target on someone's back? It's long past time we get this weird "class warfare" toxin out of our society and schools. It's been fatal for other countries, and we aren't immune.

I want a country with as many millionaires as possible. In a nation with a lot of surplus wealth, it's a lot more comfortable to not be a millionaire than in nations where almost nobody has more money than you do.
