Unions...I can not get past

the fact that someone/thing *higher up* on the food chain *owns* (my words/perception) the working class's destiny.

I am of the firm belief you do not get something for nothing, and the proletariat are delusional if they think they are being looked after by someone who does not expect something in return.
I do not trust anyone or anything that extoles platitudes for/to the masses or the collective. There is a subliminal agenda in dem words. Hell, even the word 'collective bargaining' makes my skin crawl.... Cinderella-esque thinking in that someone will take care of 'me'...save 'me'.

That is a 'victim' mentality.

I believe in Americans. I believe we are a great nation that can thrive on individuality.
To support and coddle Unions is to supress what we can accomplish individually, which is what garners strength in character, and volunteerism of working together for the benefit of an even greater nation.... *Beneficial for all individualism* .

End of soap box spouting.
