In the future we'll have nothing but commercial, "free enterprise", American broadcasting; no news, no Prarie Home Companion, no Car Guys, no All Things Considered, no Science Fridays. Nothing but country music, redneck preachers, "soft rock", Rush and Glen, and Mexicans yelling into echo chambers, a 50-50 mix of banality and advertising. Competition will eventually make everybody sound just the same. FM will sound just like AM, and we'll all have to rush out and buy satellite radio.
