Have faith virtues are rewarded

The town banker usually is wealthy because he is vituous and honerable in his dealings. The town drunk is usually homeless and pennyless because he has put getting drunk ahead of being virtuous and he makes a commitment to nobody, not even himself.

Of course there are always exceptions to the rule. And those exceptions somehow get painted in the media as reverse stereotypes. So we have a society which values homelessness and devalues virtue. Enron did it, so obviously the CFO's and CEO's of all companies must be doing it as well. At least that's what some want you and me to believe.

Unfortunatly, the Enron story will go on and on because the polititicians won't have the guts to attack those who are really to blame. And besides, they're too busy trying to pin it on the other party (and raising money) to really try to make sense out of their own failures.
