Why do I belabor points a bit, exaggerate, paint with a broad brush? It gets the point across, and demands responses. If Rush Limbaugh sounded like an FM radio jock, he'd still be in Sacramento. Ayn Rand owes at least some of her success to a personality that made sandpaper look like fine silk. And hey, I'm naturally loud and noisy anyway. It's all I can do to keep my hands off the GODDAM CAPS LOCK KEY!!!
Many of the people holding positions of authority in this country, politicians, professors, community leaders, and others, hold basic views which are completely incompatible with any form of a free society. If any one of these people were to stand up and proclaim that he was a Nazi, he would be run out of his position, tarred, feathered, and run out of town with a rope's end belaboring his ass.
Yet these people in authority can stand up and proclaim themselves to be socialists, or the current "mental fog" word for it, "progressives," and no one even blinks. A person can, without consequence, advocate positions that are no different from any of those that would have been advocated by Karl Marx, whose philosophy slew eight times as many people as the Nazis, and I'm talking about the over 20 million the Nazis actually killed by genocide, not just the 6 million Jews.
To these people I am property. The purpose of the individual is to serve the collective. I'm not going to be quiet about it when one of them proposes that I should put another link on my shackles, or that another foundation brick of the last really free country on Earth should be destroyed.
And there are so many of them! And while I'm lambasting the liberals in front of me, the conservatives come up behind me and bite me in the rear with something like a stupid proposal to revive the draft. It's no wonder that I prefer the chain gun as a weapon instead of the rapier.
Wander around this web site for a while, and you might see why I might get a bit shrill at times. These regimes did not come to power in their nations by destroying their opposition in a military battle of conquest. Almost all of them came to power promising wonderful things for its citizens. Some were elected.
