When one's world view shifts hard left and one is constantly seeking demons outside oneself responsible for the shortcomings of one's own life...

...somebody always has to be the bad guy.

There is always a conspiracy which one is the victim of.

One must gripe and whine without end about the things one can't seem to recognize as one looks in the mirror.

Tom, anyone who admits to wanting to shoot Reagan is a bit off the beam - in more ways than one.

For all you know its John "Bowser" Hinckley who's posting here.

These folks are bile from the bilge up - I know the kind. It's all negative. All bad. The world's a cesspool they are victimized by. They hate everyone and everything (presidents, government, corporations, what-have-you) - because they can't fess up to the fact they hate themselves.

Sometimes they get over it - but most don't.

I know there is a shortage of pi--ing contests on these boards - but you're probably wasting time here. These boards are beginning to look like the Tom-Bow pow-wows.

I know you're not going to be converted - cause you're right on 99% of the issues - and he shows no signs of moving either, even though he's wrong on 99% of the issues ;-)

But since right and wrong are relative positions - he thinks he's right and you're wrong.

So wrong or right you'll always be wrong.

Or "right".

Oh well...

I guess it is mildly amusing.

The Tokyo firebombing was nothing compared to the bombing of Dresden where 135,000 people died and countless more were wounded. The fire burned for a week - and created its own tornadoes sucking children into the flames.

But in that war - the gloves were off and civilians or infrastructure were considered legitimate targets.

The whole containment of communism concept is pointless to someone who through ignorance or self-loathing aspires to it.

The rebel must rebel against someone, preferably someone with authority- so they can easier delude themselves into validating their persecution complex.

Conspiracies are part of that persecution complex. The bigger the conspiracy - the easier it is to justify one's own shortcomings.

God, Bush is a tyrant!

The shadow government is taking over!

Stalin was good! The US is bad!

Gore won the popular vote.

Corporations and profit are evil!

Yes and SAT scores have been dropping too. More dumb Americans are around than anytime in history, partly due to population growth and partly due to the creation and failure of the DOE.

The red/blue map of the US doesn't show anything - but it looks a heckuva lot like an immigration map of the US - in other words where the people who have spent the least amount of time here now reside and want the handouts as large and rapid as possible.

Of course those are Nazis that make up the census and collect data for almanacs.
