Part of the bogus enviro-science department...

Hi Lee,

Let's see...they've figured out that the "rich" countries hijacked their clouds. That the weather patterns were tapped by pollutants.

It's amazing isn't it. Pollution is blamed for both increasing and decreasing rain.
For drowning the southern Chinese and drying out the Sahel.

I wish I had these enviro-scientists in a room with a blackboard. They need a refresher course in planetary ecology.

Water can combine with certain chemicals in the atmosphere - but at no point is this water magically drawn out off-world and out of the solar system, never to return. All this water is still there. Our planet can't dry out because space isn't absorbing our atmosphere.

So it's drier in northern China and wetter in southern China - wow is it just me or does that balance out?

These hysterical lines about the driest decade or century since records have been kept is always hogwash. The twentieth century is the first century records have been kept in most of these African regions because the thermometer wasn't invented until 1714 by the German Fahrenheit! No one was keeping records or temperatures in Africa for most of the 19th century and probably only regular and accurate records have been kept for the past 60 years in many of these nations.

There is a group of people out there who love hysteria - they feed on the hype created by fear. They prey on the individually paranoid and the cluster-group paranoids that know the world is ending. None of these folks seem to have been read the story of Chicken Little when they were children.

The water is still on the planet. If the icebergs crumble - the sea rises. The water ain't going anywhere.

Heck, Russian scientists in the late 1940's were TRYING to warm the northern polar regions! They were/are freezing their behinds off most of the year and the American climate seemed to be another edge. Serious plans were put into motion to use icebreakers and in the late 50's submarines to cut warm water paths through much of the frozen over polar cap and create an artificial current pattern which would slowly defrost the region.

Yet, when an ice shelf falls into the sea - you'd have thought a chunk of the planet fell off into space. The EPA-extremists slipped one past Christine Whitman and got something released which pushed their agenda. (The let's revert to the middle ages and the 30 year life span agenda - and hopefully no one has more money and is oh my goodness richer than them. )

Now we hear that mount Everest is melting.

Well good!

How many idiots died or lost their feet, noses and hands in an attempt to reach some elevation? How many did so after man reached the moon? Perhaps if it melts a bit - some of these folks will get a new fixation and a better one!

No one knows if the melting of the polar caps might make earth that much more of a paradise. Perhaps the planet is balancing the increasing population by creating more workable warm farmland?

Who says the planet's tips have to be frozen solid for earth to survive? Perhaps a great balancing will occur and the seasons will be less harsh for everyone?

Is it just me... or does it seem that by freeing up water in the poles puts more water in circulation near the equator to offset droughts?

Yes, much of this stuff is ridiculous and the byproduct of hysterical groups pushing an agenda - an agenda which usually involves taking money or power from others and giving it to them.

In europe they live with great guilt about Africa. The French and the Dutch and everyone with a ship, exploited the region - and now the PC backlash demands that all Frenchmen and Dutchmen let their lands overflow with their former victims and that they blame everything - including now the weather - on these same European states - (But only the rich ones!)

Thanks for the link...it's a cross between a laugh-riot and a slap in the face.
