One clarification:
The conspiratorial/victimization mentality is not an artifact of left or right political persuasion, but is rather a non-rational response to feelings of powerlessness, and those who use conspiracies/victimization to rule are simply manipulating those hapless people, imho.
Lenin and Stalin and Hitler were all deep into conspiracies. Their respective societies bought into that manipulation.
The Pals do this today, and Arafat is right there to help.
Castro uses them to this day to justify his tyranny.
