Short of an Earth shattering impact.
If an asteroid or comet hits us, we will survive. While many would be killed by the impact itself, plus any tidel waves and other secondary effects, we are more than smart enough and adaptable enough to make it through. If it gets cold, we'll build fires, put on winter clothing, or simply turn up our electric heaters. If it gets dark, we'll build fires, use battery powered devices, or simply flip on our electric lights. And if the food chain collapses, being omnivores we'll simply switch to other food sources such as insects, rats, cats, dogs, or even each other, or we could simply consume the fast amounts of canned and frozen foods that exist in abundance until the sun comes back out.
An impact doesn't mean that civilization would collapse, many areas far away from the impact would still have their communications, transportation, and power grids intact. A state of emergency would probably be declared, but things would go on.
