yes, it's adjusted for Rio Cuarto -
The destruction of South America east of the Andes was indicated by anthropological data. This data still stands, despite the fact that the search for that data was initially inspired by the "crater wrong" at Rio Cuarto.
The Mayan records refer to a comet, and as you know, Rio Cuarto was supposedly a meteorite impact. This gave pause, but then it was unlikely that ancient man differentiated too much between asteroid and comets, or coincident events, for that matter.
The show stopper was the date, as after 11 years years we still did not have firm dates for Rio Cuarto. Now we do.
The next problem is going to be to try and localize the fires that pretty much destroyed all of South America east of the Andes, and most likely begin to look for the burn layer and micro-spherules.
All this will take money - mucho dinero.
The "Science" team will also need money to find their "hypothesized" crater.
I am not overstating the hazard from small impacts- as a matter of fact, at this point, I am still understating it.
