Your not the only one bothered.

All you can do is take an active role in your child's education, as I'm sure you do. Teach them to see through the bias that ALL teachers, professors, preachers, etc. bring with them to their collective jobs. Teach your children to truly form their own opinions and challenge theories and ideas that others preach as facts.

It is sad that our educational institutions and pop culture society claim to teach our children to think for themselves, to often end up teaching our children to just become one of the crowd. Political Correctness is exactly that. (It preaches tolerance, but watch what happens when you take a position against what is deemed PC. You will be shouted down, your job threatened, and your reputation destroyed because you refuse to become part of the PC establishment).
