Find and ave some Middle Eastern neighbors over for dinner. It is great for learning about each other. And there are plenty of folks from that part of the planet around at least in major population areas. I'm in the burbs way outside Boston. We had some Iranian friends over for St Patrick's Day of all things. Got into great discussions about Ramadan, etc. Of course these were Iranians who had deliberately left their country for reasons that most here would well understand. On another occasion they showed us videotape of a party they had at home in Iran. Mid-summer, windows had to be shut and shades pulled to keep nosey neighbors from ratting them out since music with dancing and certain beverages are not approved.
