You guys are missing the point entirely. "Inspections" CAN'T work. Never could. It's a political farce, like many throughout history, designed to mollify the less perceptive, or serve some other political purpose. "Separate but equal" comes to mind as another stupid "compromise" in our past that tried to avoid the inevitable hard decisions.
Fifty inspectors, or fifty thousand, You CANNOT prove that there are NO weapons of mass destruction being developed in Iraq, short of omniscience. If you find a lab, you can of course prove that there ARE such weapons. This is just raw logic. Saddam has had years to conceal such sites using every trick in the book.
The only way to make sure a psychotic dictator does not get such weapons is to remove him. I'm sorry Bush has to compromise his integrity to go along with this crap, but that's the way it's being played out. It would have been a lot more honest (if politically unsound) to just stand up, tell the U.N. that inspections were worthless, and they can come along and help us do the necessary job, or stay home and bitch.
If you want to go after Bush for playing games with the U.N. instead of being straightforward, you probably have a point.
