Good question

<So, you're saying that only Democrats stayed home and Republicans all turned out to vote?

Don't know. Wish I did. I would like to see a comparison of Republican vs. Democratic turnout. If the same number of Republicans sat it out as Democrats, it makes the results--which were a heck of a lot more than 50-50 in favor of Republicans in a lot of races*--even more interesting.

And aren't you guys the ones claiming that more Democrats stayed home, which is why they lost? If you make the liberal assumption that most people would want to vote Democrat, that means that a LOT of Democratic voters would have to stay home to lose an election. The conclusion would be, even from your point of view, that more Republicans turned out than Democrats.

Well, seeing as how the results were close to 50-50 in all but a few Republican strongholds, Republicans in large numbers must have crossed over to vote Democrat.

Republican strongholds like Florida? Even in the People's Republic of California, Davis pulled it out by a lot narrower margin than he would have liked. And of course, the record-breaking victory of the President's party in an off-year election went largely uncommented by the mainstream media.

*The main reason that many elections weren't thrown to the courts, which I incorrectly predicted would happen.
