If these apologists and spineless wonders wish to shield Saddam then so be it. We should let it go for now, but like we were willing to do with the USSR and its allies, we should now be willing to do to our new enemies. If and when our nation is hit in an act of terrorism with a WMD, no matter how weak or powerful, we should turn the entire Mid East into a glass parking lot. The average Soviet peasant had no control over the actions of their government, but had war occurred between our two countries, they would have paid as much as the the Soviet top brass. The average camel jockey shouldn't be treated any differently. If we are attacked by Islamic extremists with WMDs then the entire Islamic world should be made to pay for that attack. From Morocco to Pakistan should be shown the true power and might of the USA. If the Arab leaders knew that we had such a option planned, they'd go out of their way to insure that any and all fanatics within their borders were eliminated. If they didn't, then Islam would stand the very real possibility of going from being the world's fastest growing religion to becoming the world's fasting shrinking religion.
