Hi Mary Anne,
I read this post late last night but was too tired to comment.
First of all, this was truly an eloquent post, and said with heart.
I fear it is mostly the women who are natural born NURTURERS who feel a little more passionately about peace. We hear rumors of 300-800 cruise missiles raining down on Bagdad, and wonder about the wisdom of displacing a city of 6 million.
People like Lee who advocate annhilating Iraq (and some of it's neighbours) made me feel disgust for his participation in this board.
However, we know he likes to hunt, and he likes to eat what he kills, therefore I think he needs to go live in a savage land where he could be as primitive as he likes to get it out of his system.
Thanks for persisting to post here. I know we've almost left this board before, but your participation is like the Voice of Reason at times. I know it takes time to formulate a position, and even more time to articulate it, but you do so very well!
And.....thank you.

- My brain hurts too
- Damned if you do, damned if you don't
- We should assume a new cold war mentality.
- Does it matter?
